ComixConnection.com had a photo contest back in early December to find the best photo of a vampire using Blood Energy Potion. Well, they received only one submission, but it terrified us to say the least.
Not only do humans consume Blood, but as you can see in the photo above, cats do now too. We definitely don't recommend giving your feline friend a dose of Blood Energy Potion to help treat their need to claw, but if they happen to tie you up in a dungeon and steal your pouch of Blood, well, then you are on your own.
Thanks to Sam Miller of Mechanicsburg for this awesome photo.
Welcome
Spectators
With the holiday season around us, what better time to give the gift of Mana, Health and Blood than now! One first-time vampire gave Blood Energy Potion a try on a recent trip to a local comic book shop. You can watch his review below:
There are also a few LAN events happening soon, including the 2nd Annual Christmas LAN which is coming up on the 26th. For full event listings, check out our Event Calendar!
We experienced a brief issue with our webstore this weekend that wouldn't allow wizards and warlocks to get to the checkout page. We want to let you know that it is now fixed and running at 100%!
If you want to get some Mana/Health in time for Christmas, the last day to order so that you will get it in time is this Tuesday, December 15th by 4PM, PST!! So hop on over to our Buy Page now and make sure you keep your bars full this holiday season!
Mario Madness, a charity event we sponsored this past weekend for the benefit of Sailing for the Cure, raised over $3000 in online donations! They successfully completed 19 of their goals (which equals plenty of Mario game intenseness) over the course of the weekend, all while broadcasting live to the interwebs.
Thanks to the Mario Madness players and all those who had tuned in and donated for making the event a success! Also check out the fan art on their website. The above piece came from a person by the tag of Crazzee Abnormal.
This Friday, Mana Energy Potions is sponsoring the players of "Mario Madness", a video game marathon charity event based out of Southern California to benefit Sailing for the Cure. The group will be attempting to play every Mario title start to finish, mixed with Speed Runs, Challenge Rounds, and surprises along the way. The event will be broadcast live on MarioMadness.com. Also on the website you can find a full gameplay schedule, information about the charity/event, and more.
Over at Site of the Gaming Dead, Christian Martin recently blogged about his "Great Gamer Energy Drink Experiment" where he tries a plethora of gamer-focused energy drinks/shots including Mana and Health Energy Potion. And who did he consider to be the victor? Mana/Health Energy Potions!!! You can read his blog about the experiment here!
This holiday weekend, Mana Energy Potion is proud to be sponsoring NYCGaming's Winter LAN. It is happening on Saturday, November 28th @ 270 East 10th Street in New York City.
They plan on having a Counter Strike 2v2 and CoD Modern Warfare tournaments in addition to other multiplayer gameplay at the event.

Around the world, Twilight fans have been lining up to see the latest motion picture installment, "New Moon". In Cleveland, Ohio, FOX 8 caught up with some of the fans while they were in line. When the reporter asked one of the girls about why she didn't have any Blood with her, she promptly replied with something that excited us here in the office. Check it out!:
This weekend Mana Energy Potions is sponsoring two LAN events. Both events received Mana/Health Energy Potions to be given out as prizes.
The first, The Frag N' Tag Gaming LAN, is happening in Wayne City from 8pm-8am. It will be feature systems loaded with COD World at War and COD4.
The second, Magic LAN, is going down in Morton, IL and will feature a plethora of multiplayer expeditions over the course of the day.
We are proud to be sponsoring LAN events all around the country and we want to continue to do so. :) If you have an event and would like us to be a part of it, please send an inquiry to sponsorships@manapotions.com.
Jessica, one of our original Mana girls, travelled to Sante Fe Springs for a one night only sampling event.
The overall reaction: People love the taste of Blood.
I have to admit: We really enjoy saying that :D
Check out livingwithbloodlust.com to find out more about Blood Energy Potion! You can also join the official Blood Energy Potion Facebook page and interact with fellow vampires!
Before we launched livingwithbloodlust.com, we knew we had to get some awesome photos of our new product. With the help of Star Foreman and model Jaimie Hilfiger, we took some rockin' product photos with a twist. Here's a little behind the scenes video of what the process looked like:
Mana and Health have been utilized in over 100 role-playing games, some of which are popular tabletop games. Thomas T. sent us this photo of he and his friends in their epic role-playing den. To say the least, I am a little jealous and way overdue for a round of D&D or Warhammer.
Thank you Thomas for the rockin photo!
Do you have photos of you and your friends with Mana Energy Potion or Health Energy Potion? Send them to us at sponsorships@manapotions.com!!
Also, be sure to join your fellow fans on our Facebook page!
Our friends over at Geeekscape generously let me co-host their Halloween special. We got to talk about Blood, Uncharted 2, Brutal Legend, lots of TV, and Halloween shenanigans. Check it out at www.geekscape.net and don't forget to join their group at: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2230817728
The SpeedGamers are at it again!
The SpeedGamer’s Resident Evil marathon to raise money for The Diabetes Research and Wellness Foundation begins Friday October 30th @ 6pm cst and will last 48 hours. A live game feed will be broadcast on www.TheSpeedGamers.com alongside a commentary feed and chatroom. Tune in for a great cause this Halloween and win some Blood Energy Potion in the process!
That's right, we are giving Blood Energy Potion to the top donators of the event. How cool is that?
We decided as soon as we got our first few pouches of Blood Energy Potion in at the office that we wanted to test the durability of the bags. Aaron and I went outside and first tested my full weight, then a few jump tests. The results were pretty solid, with the bag supporting all of Jon's weight... until he jumped on it.
Blood Energy Potion is the world’s first synthetic blood substitute. The fruit punch flavor packs 4 hours of energy along with iron, protein, and electrolytes. Not only does Blood Energy Potion have a similar nutritional makeup to real blood, but it has the same color, look, and consistency. Get real blood nutrients without that real blood taste! The re-sealable transfusion bag style pouch provides the convenient delivery of fluids for vampires and humans alike! Contains no real blood, just synthetic!
Check out our helpful website at: www.livingwithbloodlust.com and take the quiz to determine if you have an issue with Bloodlust.
ALSO IF YOU ORDER BEFORE OCT 23RD YOU CAN GET IT BY HALLOWEEN!
Yesterday, the Why So Serious Clan kicked off their Why So Charitable gaming marathon. We are sponsoring the gamers during their 100 hour marathon as they play live to raise money for Child's Play. In their first 3 hours, they logged 1600 viewers on Justin.tv and they are still going strong. Be sure to check them out and chip in a donation for the cause!
Mana Energy Potions is excited to be sponsoring the MTG Zendikar Sealed Deck event at Sky High Games in San Marcos, CA this weekend! The cool people over at GamesiPlay.net will be bringing Mana and swag to the event on our behalf. If you want to see a full list of all the events that Mana Energy Potions will be a part of in the upcoming months, check out our Event Calendar! Want Mana to be at your next event? Send us an email!
Our friends over at Custom Sticker Makers, the awesome people who make our Mana and Health stickers, put up this really cool blog post about us. We think they rock, so if you ever need custom stickers definitely give them a try.
As a side note: Something cool is on the horizon. That is all.
In honor of today's launch of the visually stunning MMO Aion, we decided to hook up a treadmill and some WiiMotes to our gaming PC so we could take flight both in the game and in real life.
The result is an epic workout that will definitely get your heart beating while running quests. Check out the How-To on our website, as well as the video below to see how we did it.
Mana Energy Potions is sponsoring the Retro Gaming Expo happening in Portland, Oregon this Sunday! They will be doing a variety of console/cabinet tournaments, including the famous Nintendo World Championship cartridge challenge. Competition winners will receive free Mana and swag throughout the event. Definitely check it out if you are in the area!
GamersRoute.com gave our Mana Energy Potion a try at PAX, and lets just say, it was love at first sip. They posted this awesome coverage on their website of their experience, and even stated how Mana could become their office's "official drink". Just thinking of how many fireballs would be flying as a result in that office is intense.
Look at that form! Aaron and Jon juggle some Mana for the crowds at their booth @ PAX. Aaron of course could hold his own. But Jon...well...He needs to work a bit on his multi-bottle juggling skills.
Also, today is 9/9/09. Potential end of the world? Maybe.
This past weekend, Aaron and I ventured up the great Northwest (Seattle to be exact) for Penny Arcade Expo. Harry from Aksys Games joined us at our booth and brought along with him some consoles loaded with BlazBlue and arcade sticks. To say the least, PAX was EPIC.
On each day we gave out thousands of Mana Energy Potion and Health Energy Potion samples, hosted BlazBlue tournaments and freeplay, and gave away tons of Mana/BlazBlue swag.
We also sponsored the AION Launch Party (bottles of Mana for everyone :D), which took place at the Space Needle. Aaron and I were extremely impressed with the event, but especially with the food. By the end of the evening, between the number of cheese-filled mushrooms Aaron ate alongside my demolishing the shrimp/cracker things and prosciutto-wrapped asparagus, we had done quite a bit of damage.
Aaron got some hands-on time with Left 4 Dead 2 ("Same thing as L4D: Still awesome"), Mass Effect 2 ("Awesome graphics" - Still playing Mass Effect at home), and also gave the NVIDIA 3D Goggles a shot. I got to play the game I have been waiting ages for: StarCraft 2. In an epic Protoss v. Protoss matchup, I checked out the new units, gameplay and graphics. Thankfully the hot-keys were pretty much the same, which made the crossover pretty easy and allowed me to come out victorious! Now just to wait for the game's launch...
The BlazBlue tournaments were a huge success with stiff competition coming from all areas of the US. The professional players made themselves known in the match-ups, and some unknowns also came to the forefront during the semifinals. Overall, pretty frakkin' impressive.
The winners of the BlazBlue Tournament each day were:
Day 1: Veteru (who also walked away with Aaron's exclusive Mana Energy Potion hoodie)
Day 2: Phil J.
Day 3: Tom L.
Aaron also started "mastering" Nu during the BlazBlue freeplay, so if anyone is up for a cheap button spamming matchup, you can add his gamertag to your XBL: wintersynth
Thanks to everyone who went to PAX and stopped by!
Vernon Gibson posted this photo onto our Facebook page today that showcases some attendees at AWOL LAN (an event we sponsored in early August) who are all donning the extremely awesometastic Mana Energy Potion tattoo on their foreheads.
(Don't worry, they're only temporary.)
Thanks for the awesome photo collage, Vernon, and also for having us be a part of AWOL LAN!
Buddha and Jesus (Jon Brence and Zach Weiner of 'Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal' fame) drink some Mana Energy Potion while on set for a SMBC Theater shoot. SMBC Theater is a comedy sketch group from Los Angeles that produces a new video every week. Solid.
And if you're wondering why they are dressed like this, you can watch the short here.
We will be at Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle, WA in one week! To say the least, we are psyched!
Harry, from Aksys Games, will be joining us at our booth(#161). We will have several consoles set up with BlazBlue for free versus play, and a BlazBlue tournament running each day at 2PM. The winner of each tournament will receive a Mana Energy Potion/BlazBlue prize pack! Daily sign up for the tournaments starts at 1PM.
We will also be sampling both Mana and Health Energy Potion to the masses. So stop on by!
Ryoga and Shane over at SF Parkour shot this chase sequence while they were on a recent run. We thought it was pretty cool. Check it out!
Ryoga Vee joined the guys from Mana today on Lunch with Mana. Fight clubs, fire soccer, Jon's EarthBound tattoo, and shunned superheroes were all parts of the discussion.
Human Night, an event by 1108events, brought in 120 vampire-chic enthusiasts to the 310 Lounge on East 1st St. in New York City on 22nd. Mana Energy Potions sponsored the event with Health Energy Potions for the tables and attendees. As this photo shows, Health Energy Potion looks mighty classy at their table.
Congratulations to Robb Lower of Missouri who won our recent LWWFiaB Contest!! Robb submitted a hilarious stick figure drawing and won the Classic Football 2 handheld game with a 4pack of Mana/Health. Sadly, the only part of his drawing we can show is what you see above this post. But to say the least, it gave us one of the best laughs we had in ages.
Thanks again to all who entered the contest and keep on the lookout for future events/contests by visiting our Facebook page and following us on Twitter!
In this week's episode of "Lunch with Mana" Aaron and Eli went head to head in an Epic DK Battle LIVE!
It was a pretty extreme weekend.
The Mana Energy Potions team went down to the Caged Ink event in Pomona, CA that had started Friday. Extreme epic fun was had by all as we watched intense Razor Scooter riders do backflips on halfpipes, played some Laser Tag, hung out with some awesome Ambigram artists, and got some hardcore people to try Mana for the first time. Success.
While we were being extreme in Pomona, the SpeedGamers were doing what they do best: rockin' at video games. This past weekend they held a Mega Man marathon to benefit the Earth Day Network. They once again passed their goal and raised over $7000 through online donations while they played through the MM series. Congratulations to the SpeedGamers for having another successful event and we were very happy to once again be a part! The next SpeedGamers marathon will be a Resident Evil marathon happening right around Halloween!
Today we aired the 2nd episode of "Lunch with Mana" live! In the episode we covered plenty of topics including Jedi Powers vs Puppy Dog Eyes, GI Joe, and Vampires. You can watch a replay of the episode below:
Be sure to tune in next week for a competition of epic proportions when Eli takes on Aaron in a live 2 Player match of Donkey Kong.
We are excited to announce that we are sponsoring The SpeedGamers in their upcoming Mega Man Marathon benefiting the Earth Day Network! The event will begin on Friday, August 14th @ 6pm CST and will continue for 72 hours. The SpeedGamers are aiming to beat every Mega Man game in the 72 hour period, and we are pretty certain that they will be able to do it!
On the main SpeedGamers page, you can interact directly with the players and commentators through a live chat while you watch a live game feed, which makes it even more awesome. To top it all off, we will be providing Mana Energy Potion prize packs to the top six donators for the event.
They are a great group of guys and their events are a lot of fun to watch (and play along with if you have the games), so be sure to tune in for this great cause!
Mana Energy Potions will be at Caged Ink at the Pomona, CA Fairplex from August 14th-16th. Caged Ink, which will be the most extreme event to ever hit Southern California, is an action packed three days of tattoos, extreme sports, and cage fighting. Sounds like our type of crowd!
Mana Energy Potion will be for sale and we will have plenty of Mana swag to give out. So stop on by!
Found this while we were venturing through the interwebs today. Happiness filled the office.
Today we wrapped up the first episode of "Lunch with Mana", our live interactive broadcast where the viewer can directly talk to the Mana Energy Potions team about anything. We covered a plethora of topics today, including some epic battles, movies coming out, and some cool stuff we recommend.
Thanks to all who tuned in for the first episode (which you can watch above) and we hope you continue to tune in for the best half hour you will spend each week :D
"Lunch with Mana" will air LIVE every Wednesday @ 12PM PST.
Mana Energy Potions is excited to be sponsoring two events this upcoming weekend: AWOL LAN and Chronicles: The Convergence.
AWOL LAN is a super cool 24 hour LAN Event in Eau Claire, WI. Its attendees have the option of purchasing Survival Kit packages [served meals, exclusive swag, and hotel accomidations] something which I wish we had back when I would go to LAN parties years ago. A pulled pork dinner or a Reuben sandwich sounds way better than the half frozen Hot Pockets and semi-stale Doritos that were always by my side.
Chronicles: The Convergence is a 3-day gaming, sci-fi, anime, and fantasy convention in Wichita, Kansas. Special guests ranging from Voice actors to gaming elite will be present at the event, alongside plenty of neat events (The Red Shirt LARP event definitely got our interest)!
Check em out!
Its a bird!
Its a plane!
Its a live broadcast!
Come and have lunch with the guys from Mana...sort of...
Aaron, Eli and Jon are going to meet to talk about weekly news, the latest in TV, movies, video games, and the meaning of life. Its an anything-goes talk show where the viewer can interact directly with the guys at Mana over lunch. Join us for this landmark event of epic proportions, talk some smack, and chime in on the discussion.
Tune in and chat on Wednesdays @ 12 PM PST
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/lunch-with-mana
This week's discussion:
"X-Wing Vs. Colonial Viper"
"Burton's Alice in Wonderland vs. American McGee's Alice"
"TRON"
Um...Have you seen this? Who would have thought that the Blue coloring used in M&Ms (and also in Mana) could possibly cure paralysis?
Do you know what is probably evaluated by the FDA? None of this. But regardless, its pretty neat stuff. Check out the article here!
Sci-Fi enthusiasts and Fantasy fanatics, rejoice! Mana Energy Potions will be present at SpoCon 2009 in Spokane, WA starting tomorrow. With some pretty awesome guests of honor and sweet events, it is sure to be a good time :) Be sure to stop by the tabletop games room and get your hands on some sweet Mana swag and potions!
James and Chason over at SMBC Theater gave Mana a try at San Diego Comic Con. The results made us forever fearful of James.
You can also see our very own Jon B perform as a Blue (possibly Mana-infused?) Genie in one of the site's launch skits. Check it out!
We came, we saw, we conquered (and Jon got chainsawed by Gail over at Aksys Games).
Mana Energy Potions made it down to San Diego Comic Con 2009 this year and gave out tons of swag, some Mana & Health, and got to hang out with some pretty cool people.
Aaron and Eli had the privilege of watching Gwar in Concert, but Aaron was extremely disappointed that he didn't get to see the Light Cycle from the new Tron...Extremely disappointed...
Fortunately, there are antique solutions for disappointment in nearby Seaport Village...
I got to go down there on Saturday, kind of meet Leonard Nimoy, walk through the sets of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, and get some solid footage of first time testers of Mana:
Overall: SUCCESS. But Aaron still wants to see that Light Cycle...
Starting today (July 27th), Mana Energy Potions will be accepting submissions for its "Look What We Found in a Box" Contest! While sorting through some boxes, we had come across a Classic Football 2 hand-held game, and we thought we would make a contest where we could send both it and some Mana/Health to the winner! "How do I win?", you ask? Just check out our official contest page for more information!
Also, we made this cool video to accompany the big event :)
Submissions will be accepted until August 10th. For a full list of rules/regulations, click here.
Aaron Rasmussen and Elijah Szasz, the founders of Mana Energy Potions, will be attending this year's San Diego Comic-Con beginning tomorrow. Convention attendees will be able to get their hands on Mana Energy Potion samples at various booth locations throughout the event.
If you want to meet up with the founders, say "Hi", or just toss them a high five in passing, just look for the Mana Energy Potion shirts or drop us an email!
The SpeedGamers have passed their initial goal of raising $20,000 for ACT Today for Autism after less than 4 days of game play! They have set a new goal of $50,000 for the event. The event is still live for the next few days!
The SpeedGamers are attempting to beat Final Fantasy 1 - 12 over the course of 7 days, all broadcasting live alongside a gameplay feed, commentator video feed, and chat room.
We are the premiere sponsor for the event, and the top five donators will receive a super exclusive Mana Energy Potion Gift Pack, and the follow-up top five donators will receive a Mana wristband and 4pack of Mana/Health.
UPDATE: The SpeedGamers have raised over $50,000 for ACT Today with the conclusion of their live event! Thank you to all who have donated!
Blast Magazine caught up with Aaron Rasmussen of Mana Energy Potions and Calvin Yang of ijji to talk a bit about the on-going Lunia promotion, Mana/Health potions, and the choice between casting fireballs or possessing telekinetic powers.
Here is a little taste of the interview:
BLAST: Does your Mana Potion promotion rival the pure stealth and deadliness of Solid Snake? Can I make a better convoluted and cheesy gaming reference?
AR: Nothing rivals the stealth and deadliness of Solid Snake. Nothing! It’s heresy to even ask that question.
Calvin Yang: The promotion is nothing like the pure stealth or deadliness of Solid Snake. Besides, Solid Snake is too grumpy and self-centered for the comparison, not to mention he smokes too much. Lunia is a much friendlier and livelier environment. I suggest a comparison to Mario instead — kid-friendly, yet surprisingly deep and involved. When boosted with power-ups, Mario is invincible. With our collaboration with Harcos, we give power to the gamers both in-game and in real life.
Want to see more? You can read the full article here!
Health Energy Potion is featured in this month's edition of 'Play' Magazine (July 2009)!!! Here is a cool bit from the article:
"It's summertime, and the living is easy. However, the partying is hard. When you need a quick, lasting jolt of energy to keep moving, raise your hitpoints with a renewing blast of Health Potion."
You can pick up a copy of Play magazine at your nearest newsstand!
Eating a Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly sandwich and following it with a can of 7-Up will leave your mouth tasting like a combination of Lucky Charms and Berry Kix.
We will be sponsoring the upcoming SpeedGamers benefit for ACT Today, an organization dedicated to assisting families with autistic children, beginning this Friday @ 6pm CST.
The SpeedGamers will be playing almost every game of the Final Fantasy series (1 through 12...but not 11) sequentially in hopes of completing them all within one week! They will be broadcasting the event live from their website, where you can interact directly with the players, chat with other viewers, and enjoy watching some hardcore gaming.
For the event, we are providing really awesome Mana Energy Potion gift packs for the top 5 donators, and a solid combo pack w/ wristband to the top 5 runner-up donators. Who knows, maybe your donation for a great cause could land you some swag in the process :)
To date, The SpeedGamers have raised over $32,000 for charities through events like this. We look forward to joining them in this event, which we hope will be the biggest yet!
We have a very exciting weekend ahead of us for Event Sponsorships. This weekend we will be at five(5) awesome events:
Operation Mile High : Denver, CO
MassiveLAN '09 : Hamburg, NY
YasumiCon : Miami, FL
Lantacular 3 : Cincinatti, OH
Game Universe MTG 2010 Release : Greenfield, WI
Also, Altertimes will be carrying Mana Energy Potion at Screaming Tiki Supercon in Cleveland, OH!
Be sure to check them out!
On our return from New York on business, Aaron had the urge to play some arcade games while we waited for our flight. We started off at the Fast & Furious machine, which Aaron fast and furiously failed at, and moved on to what we saw to be an even more challenging racing sim. After giving the game a solid shot, we decided to create this review. Enjoy!
Four days of pure Anime brilliance have come and gone, but the memories will last a lifetime.
Check out these reviews we captured at AX of first time consumers of Mana:
On Friday, Daisuke Ishiwatari [video game developer and creator of Guilty Gear] and Toshimichi Mori [director, lead artist and designer of BlazBlue] were at the Aksys booth, pen-in-hand, signing autographs for fans of both series. If that wasn't cool enough, it was also (in my opinion) the best day of cosplaying. I mean, just look at these Pirahna Plants:
On Saturday, Ami Haruna, star of our G4 Mana Energy Potion commercial, joined us to help hand out samples, swag, and even sign a few autographs.
Overall, Anime Expo was a great success!
We want to send a special Dōmo arigatō to the Aksys Team for having us join them at their booth. You all are awesome!
